DESCRIPTION

We suggest you a route by Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas, guided by local experts with a great knowledgment of the territory, in order to see one of the most emblematic species in Andalusia: the Bearded vulture.

The Bearded vulture was extinguished from this land, disappearing completely of Andalusia in 1986, due to venoms, direct human persecution, electric shock or habitat loss.

Is a osteophagus bird, its main food is body's bones that throw in big cliffs or craggy areas to break and swallow them easily. We will know its habitat, its ecology, its behavior and the conservation actions that have been carry out for its recovery and we will try to observe it in the best places.

The Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas has a large population of Bearded vulture, thanks to the Andalusian Reintroduction Programe.
